VTech Road

VTech Road project is the first Arabic social innovation platform that aims to spread awareness on the SDGs and help school children aged between 15-17 to develop tech-based startups which contribute to the SDGs.

VTech Road platform collaborated with international and local content creators. On an international level we had several content creators, such as Member of Parliament of the United Kingdom Zarah Sultana. On a local level we had speakers from Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Impact

A pre/ post experimental design was used to evaluate the impact of hackathon on participants. Participants were provided with two questionnaires which aimed to assess their knowledge on SDGs, gender equality, internet safety and entrepreneurship. The results revealed that participants had a statistically significant increase in their knowledge on SDGs, gender equality, internet safety and entrepreneurship
